چکیده
ABSTRACT Aedes aegypti is the vector of several viral diseases. The main way to control these diseases fight vector. Thus, it necessary breed mosquitoes in laboratory order develop strategies insects. In laboratories, different carbohydrates are used for feeding mosquitoes. aim this study evaluate longevity and weight Ae. fed with diets. As methods, 120 were distributed insectaries each group received a diet, based on honey, dextrose or maltodextrin. To assess longevity, survival analysis was performed using Long Rank test chi square test. weight, dead insects frozen weighed at end experiment. results observed that maltodextrin diet lived average 33, 35 47 days respectively. When assessed, honey 125 ± (35.3) µg, while those 225 µg 275 show intake by adults increases their weight.

Characterization of dengue virus in Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus spp. of mosquitoes: A study in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
Dengue is a vector-borne disease caused by dengue virus. According to the recent report of CDC that one-third population of the world are at high risk with Dengue fever. The prevalence of the dengue hemorrhagic fever was found more in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. Aedes mosquitoes was reported as the main cause of transmission of dengue virus. So the current study was planned ...
متن کاملDispersal of Engineered Male Aedes aegypti Mosquitoes
BACKGROUND Aedes aegypti, the principal vector of dengue fever, have been genetically engineered for use in a sterile insect control programme. To improve our understanding of the dispersal ecology of mosquitoes and to inform appropriate release strategies of 'genetically sterile' male Aedes aegypti detailed knowledge of the dispersal ability of the released insects is needed. METHODOLOGY/PRI...
متن کاملIdentifying Aedes aegypti Mosquitoes by Sensors and One-Class Classifiers
Yellow fever, zika, and dengue are some examples of arboviruses transmitted to the humans by the Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. The efforts to curb the transmission of these viral diseases are focused on the vector control. However, without the knowledge of the exact location of the insects with a reduced time delay, the use of techniques as chemical control becomes costly and inefficient. Recently,...
متن کاملPermeability of the Ovarian Follicle of Aedes Aegypti Mosquitoes
The passage of tracers of various molecular weights into resting and vitellogenic ovarian follicles of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes was studied ultrastructurally. The outermost layer of the follicular sheath (the basement lamina) is a coarse mechanical filter. It is freely permeable to particles with molecular weights ranging from 12,000 to 500,000 (i.e. cytochrome c, peroxidase, hemoglobin, catala...
متن کاملEndogenous regulation of the attraction of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes.
Even when host attractants are present, there are times when endogenous physiological mechanisms prevent female mosquitoes from responding to them and engaging in host-seeking behavior. These times include a brief postemergence period, periods of the day determined by a circadian clock, and following a blood meal before and after eggs develop, which are controlled by nervous and humoral mechani...
